OK… in the future hamsters will have dominated the universe by spying on humans for the past 100,000,000 years. The supreme ruler of the world is a baby hamster with a pet human in a cage called Twinkle-Toes (the human, not the baby hamster – the baby hamster’s name is Overlord for obvious reasons.) All of the hamsters live in The Wheel which is a giant hamster wheel floating in space. Nearly all other Earthly living beings have died out (except for hamsters, of course) from The Great War which was a cross-species war for universal dominance and the hamsters won.

Hello! I love these reading challenges and I have done them since I was about 4!
My favourite books are Murder Most Unladylike by Robin Stevens and The Ministry of Unladylike Activity also by Robin Stevens. I really recommend these because they are gripping, exciting and fun. I would say these are for age 9 +
Does anyone have any suggestions for books? I am reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince at the moment and I will be finishing it soon. I am 11 and I’m looking for a mystery (murder probably) book for about 12 or older because I usually read older books than my age.
Thanks!

Queen Iguana Bumblebee
Have you read A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder? It’s about 13+ish (maybe a bit higher) , super witty, funny and a generally great book. I would definitely recommend this book to you. I also like books that are a bit old for me.
Also, how have you been doing it since you were 4? This is my first time and I’m 10.
Officer Pixie Squirrel
I would recommend it too!
Don Pudsey Pennyfarthing
Ok! :D
Queen Iguana Bumblebee
I did the challenges most years at my local library and my sister (who is a bit older than me) did it as well. My school also advertises them!
Queen Iguana Bumblebee
I might try that book sounds really good!
Queen Iguana Bumblebee
It is! Every single page makes you laugh! Except for the ones that don’t.
Officer Pixie Squirrel
I think you’d like the Sinclair and Taylor & Rose mysteries! They’re by Katherine Woodfine. I love Murder Most Unladylike and the Ministry of Unladylike Activity too! In the Ministry of Unladylike Activity, do you ever think about what happened to Kitty, from the Murder Most Unladylike books? I do, every single time I read it!
Countess Majorca Bacon-slicer
Ooh, yeah! I almost forgot about Kitty . I hope there is more Ministry of Unladylike Activity books. Also, didn’t you know there are MMU and MUA puzzle books coming out in the UK in September!
Queen Iguana Bumblebee
Me too! I’ll look out for them! Have you read Twin Crowns?
Countess Majorca Bacon-slicer
I’ve read them thanks anyway!
Queen Iguana Bumblebee
You’re welcome! Taylor and Rose is great, though. What about Ruby Redfort?
Countess Majorca Bacon-slicer
I think you’d also like the Lockwood & co; series which are super funny and super good, though they are a bit scary and creepy at times. I don’t really know what genre they are though – I think they’re a mix of sci-fi, horror and mystery. Lockwood & co; also has a little bit of romance but comfortably subtle, yet layered. I would really recommend this book series to you – they are super!
Officer Pixie Squirrel
Ok! Thanks so much for your recommendation!
Queen Iguana Bumblebee
hi
I can relate to the fact that you read books older than your age! They are more interesting and fun… hmm, let me think? what would i recommend to you? Well have you read the stolen prince of cloudburst? this is the bronte mettlestone series books.
What About the book, quiet storm? A modern masterpiece! And lastly I will suggest to you the Naga warriors, a story set in ancient India, all about protecting culture and beliefs. It is quite a new book this one, but i think you will enjoy it! Also, definitely finish the Harry potter series! You genuinely have a good book choice. Plus would you recommend murder most unladylike to me? I have been wondering whether it is good or not…
Thanks, and please reply to my question!
Queen Marge Hammersmith
Murder Most Unladylike is such a good series! I would definitely recommend it to you because it is clever, exciting and funny! Also I’ve just finished Harry Potter, it’s really good!
Queen Iguana Bumblebee
Skuldugery Pleasant is a nice murder series. A bit of a mystery but a bit more gore.
Countess Blueberry Waxwork
Ok
Queen Iguana Bumblebee
O my gosh u sound so similar to me I am also 11 im reading Arsenic for tea right now and I normally read books for older kids as well, although I hate the romance ones I’m more of a mystery book person I read all the Harry potters last year and I will reread them this year can I recommend the wingfeather series u probably haven’t heard of them they aren’t mystery books but they have the best plot plus it’s four books so it isn’t all over and done with immediately they are so so so good the fourth one is literally my favourite book ever I also think Sherlock Holmes is good!
Madam Wanda Bungalow
I also don’t like romance books. We do sound similar! Thanks for your recommendation!
