My favourite part is the bit where the protagonist (in mouse form) runs around in the kitchen of the hotel! I liked that bit a lot!

I’m not good at poetry.
I wrote a poem about summer but I don’t know if its good.

summer is the best time of the year.

After lambing time has been and gone
When bluebells have long grown
Far from winters gripping numb
Summer splendour has now blown
Perfect summer that once arrived
And was rarely seen no more
That summer that all remember
And not one memory a bore
The summer all have prayed for
Yet only a handful get
The adventures we brought forth
And the kindly folk we met
The summer oh so perfect
I wish you’d come again
So that we’d revisit
Each and every glen
The days we spent a-swimming
Before devouring cans of beans
Yes, that summer oh so perfect
That summer made of dreams
But that perfect stunning summer
