Hi everyone! I know a lot of you have got the blues coz it’s nearly time for school, and that means the end of Summer. This means there might be some rainy days. So here are my top tips for what to do on a rainy day!
1. READ!
Reading is what this challenge is all about, and it is also a great way to relax and get lost in a good book. Whatever books you like, reading is great!
2. MAKE SOMETHING!
Here are some good arts and crafts things to do with just a few materials.
Origami: There is lots of origami tutorials on YouTube just waiting to be used!
Sewing: Any sort of fabric and a needle and thread, and you could make anything!
Write: Write a book! An easy way to make a book other than staples is fold a sheet of paper in half, then cut out lots of half-pages. Put glue down the spine of the half-pages and stick the paper-in-half as the cover and back. Then write, write write!
3. BAKE!
Baking is a wonderful thing to do on a rainy day. There’s lots of different recipes everywhere. Here is an easy-to-make shortbread suitable for vegans!
Mix margarine, sugar and flour in a bowl, then put flattened clumps on a non-stick baking paper covered baking tray and bake for 15 minutes. (I’m not sure how hot the oven’s meant to be) . Believe me, they taste good!
Remember to use your imagination and you can get through any rainy day!
Empress Magnolia Cuckoo-Clock
