Five children and it is by E Nesbit right? The author of the railway children! It was illustrated by Nick Sharratt as well! Nick sharratt is my fave illustrator! By the way I’ve read four children and it was really good!
I’ve read both four children and it (the modern version) and five children and it (the original). They’re both really good books

If you like scary books, I recommend the Skulduggery Pleasant series by Derek Landy. They are a good read for people who like scary stories. If you want a bit of hard hitting drama, then I would advise you to read a Jacqueline Wilson book. They may not be scary but they are a great read.
