Yea I’m sure that’ll be fine! Your story sounds great!
Thanks!
How about this: Emmiè is Argentinian, because her mom and dad are from Argentina, but she was born in England, and then she and her family moved to wherever your book is going to be set?
Yeah-I think my story will probably be set in England, where I live!
I live in England too!
This is random, but do you pronounce Emmiè like emiyay? Because normally it would just be pronounced emiy, but because of the accent I don’t know!
Move the setting it’s ok and I think you could do it in United Kingdom
Wow sounds amazing! Think I missed that message but sounds amazing anyways
Argh, annoying, but thanks for the compliment! And you can still read my story! :)
Yippee!
I missed this message too. What is this about?

I didn’t get much snow but I still got a little! I love snow so much!
Me too! It’s soooooo fun! My little sister makes adorable snow animals, and it’s great to see the trees covered in snow!
I had no snow this year and I am in England, which country are you in?
England! In Yorkshire, to be precise.
Yeah I saw it as well the ice covered my dad’s car.
That’s one of the reasons we don’t have a car, because my dad doesn’t want to be scraping snow and ice off it every winter!
Yas my bit was covered and I was freezing
I know! Sadly, it melted really quickly where I live, so I only got to go out in slush!
Aww that’s sad. I was throwing snowballs at my living room window and someone was building a snowman!!
Oh, wow! That would be really hard for me, because I live really high up in an apartment building!
YEP I GOT LOTS OF SNOW. MY SISTER THREW SNOW BALLS AT ME.
I love throwing snowballs! Apart from the one time my brother threw a snowball at my hat, and it dropped into my hair, and down my back!!
Crazy Right!
I know, ugh, it felt so gross!!
Urgh I hate that feeling so much!
Me too, it feels so slippery and slimy!
Oh I hate that feeling!!!
i wish winter wonderland is here forever
Me too, Winter is such a great season!!
I know
Yup.
thanks for agreeing to us!
You’re welcome, anytime!
thank you so much you guy!!
I have no idea what that means, sorry? But you’re welcome!
yes i did and in bradford is was very cold like -2 and -3 there
Wow! It rarely ever gets that cold in Leeds!!
Ooh, it never gets THAT cold here!
Sorry but I live somewhere else in United Kingdom
Welcome to the Winter Reading Challenge! Are you new on here, because I haven’t seen your name before?
Which country do you live in, I live in England.
I live in England too, though I’d love to live in Argentina! :-D
Yes same! This was back in December, and we got the day off school!! It was so fun!
Yes! It was so cool!!!
Marshal Carnaby Godzilla
Yes, she does really great raps!!!!
Aww thank you so much!
Mademoiselle Daisy Desperado
I do not know either???!!!
Do you have a favourite book? If you do, read it again, and then write down a review when you add the book on here. Think about the things you liked, disliked, or would improve! Hope this helps!
Yes, that’s a great explanation well done!
Thank you!
Doctor Quicksand Sausage-Roll

She sounds so cool!
Aw, thanks! I can’t wait to see all of our characters in your story!! I bet it will be so great! Maybe you’ll be an author someday!
Yea maybe!
If you ever become an author, what kind of books will you write?
Fantasy, history, romance or mystery i think! Maybe a mix of all of them but i would probably be fiction! What kind of books would you write!
I think I would try to write a fantasy romance fiction book about the importance of months, and seasons, and then maybe a fiction book about the days of the week, using the Spanish names for them!
Is this by any chance slightly based on u? Just I no u like the twin crown books. And what does todos mean???
It is very slightly based on me, but I’ve kinda made her a lot nicer than I am, so she fits better in the story!
Ye nice!
Thanks!
Btw, todos means everyone!
Oh I’d been wondering what it meant!
It’s Spanish, which is probably my second language now, as I accidentally slip into it all the time! Sorry if I confused you!
That’s funny.
Yeah, definitely, as I don’t do it with French or Italian! (The other languages I learn)
Oh, I know french too!!! Bonjour, Madame, comment ça va?
Ça va bien, merci! Me and my family went to Morocco recently, and one of the primary languages spoken there is French, so I got some good Comprehensible Input!
Ah,oui, Morocco is quite a french country. I know my french from when I used to live in Senegal, a country in the west bit of Africa.
Ooh, that’s so cool! I’d really like to explore Africa more, it’s such an interesting and diverse country!
Yes, it really is
Egypt, Morocco, & Algeria, those are the ones I’d like to explore more!
Ooh, yes I’d really like to go to Egypt some day! And it would be good to go to Morocco, give as I already speak their main language French. I guess Algeria would be cool too. I don’t know much about it, to be honest! I think it would be really cool to go to Kenya or South Africa, personally.
Yeah, there’s just soooo much to explore in Africa, it’s so big, and there’s so many different things to see! The country I’d most want to go to in the world is Argentina! (Closely followed by France!) What’s the country you’d most like to visit? :-D
I would love to visit Switzerland because I want to learn to ski!!!
Ooh, yeah, that would be so cool! I’d like to visit some Nordic countries, as they’re supposed to be really beautiful! :-D
They are, yes. I’ve heard places like Norway are lovely places to live in because they’re just so HAPPY!!! It sounds great.
That sounds so nice!! I’d really love to go! The place I want to live, though, is Argentina, specifically Buenos Aires! The Argentinian culture is just so unique, and beautiful!
Ooh, yes, that would be nice. In Argentina the language is Spanish which you already speak some of, isn’t it? So that would be useful.
Yeah, they speak Spanish in Argentina, but with this really unique accent that I totally love!! I really want to go there, but Argentina is a long way away from England, so… I’m probably not going there anytime soon. :-(
That’s really sad. It’s funny; obviously I know English has MANY different accents, but somehow it never crossed my mind other languages did too! It’s funny how so many very obvious things we just never even think about!
I know! :-( But I’ve made a promise to myself that I will go to Argentina before I’m 25, so I will go relatively soon! :-D
Yeah, it’s so true, isn’t it? But there’s also regional dialects in Spanish, just like in English! A lot of languages share similarities that most people don’t ever realise! :-D
Maybe you could go there on your gap year or something. I want to go to Senegal again before I’m 24! And yes, I mean I guess I should have known because I used to know a lot of french people! Oh well…
Yeah, that would be so great!
:-D I hope you get to go to Senegal again, it sounds like you had a really nice time there! :-D
There really ARE a lot of things people don’t notice! I mean, I never thought about the connection between different variations of Spanish and different kinds of English until a couple months back, either!
It’s true, there’s probably regional accents in Italian, Chinese, and maybe even Arabic?
Yes probably! I mean there are whole dialects of languages which sound completely different but also the same, like Catalan to Spanish. I guess there are also dialects of English too?
Yes, there’s the Leeds, London, Sheffield, American, and Australian accents, and so many more! I think one of the funniest accents is the New York accent, because it really sounds so cute, kinda like if a teddy bear was talking! XD
Yes, I love the new York accent it’s so funny! I guess I do have an accent, although to me it doesn’t sound it, it’s people from other places who have them! I guess other people think I have a really strong Devonian accent though- who knows.
I do like all American accents though, they’re really warm and friendly! (For the most part, anyway)
That’s cool! I’ve never been to Devon, but I’d like to go there! I don’t know what accent I have… Maybe slightly American? I’m not sure.
