If you’re 9-12 or older looking for mystery and adventure I’d recommend:
A series of unfortunate events by Lemony Snicket (adventure with an ongoing mystery)
Murder most unladylike by Robin Stevens (murder mystery detective with school girls from the 1900’s)
Neversuch house by Elliot Skell (adventure mystery that can get quite creepy)
