There is a really cool series of books for 11 year olds called the edge chronicles. The first book is called “The curse of the Gloamglozer”. The series is by Paul Stewart and Chris Riddell and the illustrations are really cool.

If you like death you might like I believe in unicorns by Michael Morpurgo?

I enjoy Dork Diaries too,all of the books in the series are great.Harry Potter is in the teenage section in my local book store,(if there was an age rating in the library I would add it.)however it’s great for 8+ in my opinion,but includes a lot of violence in the last book.Horrible Histories is really funny and you learn a lot.The MIDDLE SCHOOL books(Yes,written in all capitals for some reason)are quite short and I’d finish one in a day,but if they’re in your local library you could try one out for fun and to add to your log.Sorry for blabbing on about books.I love them.:)
