I would recommend the cathy cassidy chocolate box girls series and the first book in that series is called Cherry Crush. It is a very good series and is definitely a book series for girls.
I think she should read Grandpa ’s Great Escape
I definitely think the book Gregor the over lander by Suzanne Collins is worth reading.
