Well, I’m 11 but I read quite old for my age, but I’d still recommend The London Eye Mystery by Siobhan Dowd, whick I read about a year ago.
the one and only ivan is a very good book for a boy or girl and for any age

No need to boast but so do I. In fact on our reading test in school I got reading age 15+
