Try the Percy Jackson series start with the Lightning thief.
Try Captain Underpants, it is really funny!
Try spiderwick chronicles it is brillant

Make sure you read ‘The 39 Clues’ series and also, look for ‘Mammoth Academy’ for fun. Hopefully, that will get you started. Enjoy the challenge!
