i would definitely recommend Roald Dahl and David Walliams as they are a mix of hilarious and sometimes a little scary.
My favourites from them are:

Harry potter and the deathly hallows
By the way: the deathly hallows movie is in 2 parts.

I like reading Harry Potter too. They’re are a bit scary and also quite funny and very thrilling. I’ve watched 3 of the films and read 5 of the books.
