I’ve read two books so far one was called War stories home and away and the other one was called the boy who flew. The boy who flew was a bit hard to read but was very good even though I don’t usually read books like that. I love My Story diaries and they are very interesting. At the minute I’m reading a book called Percy Jackson the lightning theif and it is sure hard to read and get into the story.

As promised, I am back with a new history fact!

On the 21st of July 1944, Buchi Emecheta was born in Nigeria. After not being allowed to attend school, she convinced her parents to let her go to an all girls missionary school. At the age of 16 in 1960, Buchi was married to Sylvester Onwordi, who she had been engaged to since the age of 11. They had two children before her family moved to Britain. Buchi attended university and published many books about her and other African women’s lives. During this time she also had 5 children. Buchi then left her family to tour America.

Today marks her 75th birthday. Let’s make sure we don’t forget about the struggles some girls have to go through to get the education they deserve and how little the amount of people know about there sufferings.

Hi, you all, has anyone else got a random screen-name when you picked your own? I got kind of surprised when it changed my name to “Dame Hopscotch Sheep-Dip”! I have only signed into the reading competition today, at the Story House. This is my first time on here. What are badges? I’m about to read The Wizard Of Oz, Master Crocodile Possum! Okay, bye!

The reason that you have a different name is because the reading agency doesn’t want anyone to know your name. Badges are achivement for when you read a book and add it on the website.

I think when I signed up the first time my username that I logged in with was one of these random names and that meant, because I could never remember it, I had to make a new account every year! This will be my last account as I’m turning 12 next year so I can’t even right it down :(

well badges are when you reach a certin amount on books so 2 means you’ve read 2 books and 4 means you’ve read 4 books and so on also i had the random name thing at the beginning it was wierd and they are very random names i hope you found this useful!!
