Hmm, for magic/fantasy, I recommend Harry Potter for definite, and also The School For Good and Evil series, as it’s really good too.

For mysteries, the Murder Most Unladylike series is really good, and one of my faves

I recommend Nevermoor: the trials of Morrigan Crow and Wundersmith: the calling of Morrigan Crow by Jessica Townsend. Took a bit of getting into but I enjoyed it . Bit like Harry Potter.
