you read a book and you update your portal by giving the name of the book you also have to set a target

you have to read a book in real life then add it to your profile
You need to read books in real life and then write them down
At the top of the chat, you will see a button, saying: Add a new book now. Press it. When you get there, you can add a book using a pink button with a plus sign. Press it and then search for your book. Make sure you have actually read it though!

you read books u have at home or books u borrowed from your local library. once u read a book, go 2 home and press add a book. then ,u write a book review so everyone can see what u think of it. happy reading
