This book shows a lovely representation of leaving your comfort zone for the first time, reassuring children it will be okay!

I liked that Alfie's mum invited Bernard and Ian round to tea.

I thought this book was ok. I liked the bit where Alfie knew Ian's name when the adults didn't.
