I know what you're thinking, you're asking yourself 'Is this a story or a real life journal?'. Well I can answer that, it is made in fancy handwriting to make it look like it is but it isn't a real life journal. The author is Richard Platt.

I thought it was a bit odd having a guy get his leg cut off. He had maggots in it. I thought this book was okay.

It's really gripping, shows what life really was like as a sailor of the 18th century. Brilliant ending and some facts to end it off!
