This continues the story of a skeleton called Skulduggery Pleasant and his partner Valkyrie Cain. They're trying to stop a war between sorcerors and mortals which has been started by Skulduggery's ex girlfriend who wants to rule the world. I like Skulduggery Pleasant because he's very funny and cool. I would recommend it but you should read the other books in the series first. It is a long book but it's exciting to read.

i love this book there is lots of funny quips and an awesome plot that always leaves you guessing. the action scenes are also described super well and i can feel like i am next to skulduggery pleansant or valkyrie helping them solve a mystery.
