This story is based on a true victorian disaster at Staplehurst, where a train crashed into the River Beult in kent and it was carrying the famous writer Charles Dickens. I liked it because it is a real true event that blew my mind away entirely.

I really liked this book because it teaches people a lesson that a timetable is not always correct and it is a history. In the book Charles Dickens is in the train crash and that is why it is famous.

You should read this book as it is set in the old victorian times, so if you like history you would enjoy this book very much. It was a very exciting book to read as Charles Dickens was one of the passengers on the train of terror!

This was a sad but true book about a man called Charles Dickens. This was set at Staplehurst bridge when a train with Charles on didn't slow down when they were repairing the track. Five years later on the anniversary of the crash Charles Dickens died.

I think that people that like serious stories will enjoy this book. The book is about rail tracks being fixed and a train going along a bridge and falling down and crashing. It is a true story.

It was a tiny bit funny when the coalman and the driver said that Tommy the signalman was just playing on the railway but actuall he was waving the red flag because the bridge was being fixed.

The character Tommy is good. I like description of the train carriages falling off the bridge.

I think you should read this book because it tells you what kind of person Charles Dicken's was and at the end of the book it tells you how the Staplehurst rail crash started.
