I wouldn't recommend this book to people who don't like gross stuff and pirates. But I would to people who do. My thoughts about this book are that at times it's a little gruesome, and at other times it's a bit weird. My favorite character as the main character called Thomas. I admire his bravery and character to join the pirates and sail with them. His character is a very adventurous and curious one. But the girl pirate George could've been my favourite as well because of her pirating, sailing, shelter building,swimming, fire making and life saving skills.
