You hear about the life of soldiers in the trenches, but you don't often hear about the engineers and other people of that sort who helped keep communication running throughout the war. This book gives an insight on what it was like for the other people living in the trenches with the soldiers during WW1.

I liked this book because it taught about history that I didn't already know. I didn't realise that in the war there were men fighting, but also men putting up communication points so that the people fighting could talk to HQ. This fascinated me quite a lot because I hadn't really thought about it at all before. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading about the past, especially the world wars.
