I hope Terry Deary will write more of these World War Tales as I have nearly finished the series.

This book was good. What my favourite part was when the grandad tried to dye his hair black but ended up with red hair!

I liked it when Tommy and Jack and Jack's grandad sneaked into Mr Williams' shop and stole some barrels and then Jack pretended his name was Arthur Levy. Mr Williams asked who the boy with jug ears and a long pointy nose was. Jack knew it was himself and then the police officer said, 'your name young man?' He said 'Jack Burns, sir.' Then the police officer said, 'Well it can't have been your Jack because this name is Arthur Levy.'

It wasn't as interesting as I thought it would be but it was still funny.

It was good to read about the home guard and about how our grandparents lived on the blitz.

It is exciting especially when you think the main character is going to get caught.
