this book made me laugh made me cry and gave me an entirely new perspective on the second world war.. This book has been written in a way that combines the horrors of the war and details them in a way that shows how bad they were without becoming scary. A touching story of a girl who lost her best friend forever. This really made me think as unlike how today we always can find ways to connect with people who we haven't seen for a long time Anne literally disappeared of the face of the earth- possibly for ever if it wasn't for her diary. I 100% reccomend to ANYONE I dare you not to read this and love it.

Really good. very informative about the war but in a not so harsh way. Still very full on and a lovely companion to the 'Diary of a young girl' book. I really enjoyed this book as it's told from a completely different point of view. Well worth the read.
