Amelia Earhart Classroom Resource

Kim Moldofsky and Alan Brown

Kim Moldofsky and Alan Brown

It’s Her Story: Amelia Earhart, written by Kim Moldofsky and illustrated by Alan Brown introduces young readers to the determined, adventure-obsessed young woman that was Amerlia Earhart – in graphic novel style!

She was the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. She piloted many record-breaking flights, became an author, and defended women’s rights. And then, somewhere in the South Pacific, she disappeared on an attempted flight around the world.

In this classroom resource, students are invited chart a course through their neighbourhood, school, or another area. The class will also work together to practice the type of maths and science Amelia and her crew would have used when trying to land their plane.
