At the moment I am reading A year without autumn and it is really good. The book is for advanced readers but I am sure they will find it exciting and a little sad in places. I find the book a page-turner!

I’ve just read fairy secrets by Gywenth Rees although I’m not really into fairy but if you believe in fairies you should read the whole series! That’s the first one I’ve read but I recommend it.
