So true… There should be a certificate available to print out here for those of us who are unable to get into the local UK library. I’ve read loads of books this summer, but, because Im in the States I can’t get my certificate of participation.
I am so sorry to hear that – if I ran a library, I would have a website so you can borrow the books online and you can get them delivered for free! Unfortunately, my little library isn’t on the high street – it is in my bedroom!
I don’t usually go to the library to collect books, but I do go when the challenge is on because I am always happy to read the library books.
The same here. I don’t borrow much from the library, but I read a LOT at home. I think that there should be a certificate that you would be able to print out once you’ve finished the challenge. But then some people might just print it out and say that they’d done it. So frustrating!!!

I am sorry you didn’t get your certificate and the medal. But I got all of those and it is my first reading challenge in my life!!
I am also really sorry that you didn’t get your medal and certificate. At my library, you are allowed to read your own books for the challenge, but I usually read the library books anyway.
When I did it they said it was fine?
I’m so sorry that you didn’t get your medal and certificate, but it was really nice of the receptionist to give you some goodies. At my local library, you are allowed to read home books for the reading challenge, so I think that it was really harsh to not give you the medal. Next time, you can try and read the library books instead and if you are finding it hard, tell a member of staff what you are interested in and they might be able to find you a book that you are interested in.
