Read more factual books. I found that reading old fiction helps with my vocabulary and factual books and biographies are proven to help with your schoolwork and general knowledge. Although I definitely think you should still read some of your fictional favorites read a mixture of books. And true books can be just as good as fiction like books by James Herriot of Nick Arnold.
