You might like The Treehouse Story books by Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton.
Maybe you will like one of Roald Dahl’s books. He is a really funny author. They’re not challenging but they are funny.
Harry Potter I think is a winner
All the david walliams and David baddiel books are great. My personal favourites are The beast of buckingham palace by David walliams and Future friend by david baddiel. Roald dahl books are also good
I would reccommend “Cookie and the Most Annoying Boy in the World” and its sequel, “Cookie and the Most Annoying Girl in the World” as they both have lots of funny doodles in them, like the Tom Gates books, and they are both very humorous. These books are both by Konnie Huq.
