Going out with a bang!

Well the end of this year’s Challenge is drawing near and in Knowsley Libraries we wanted to see it out with a bang. We decided to have a whole week of Dahl events, including dressing up, quizzes, craft and some nice prizes too!
We started the Summer Reading Challenge this year with a special story about a boy called John and the BFG. The story was made up by Tracey, who is one of the Children’s Team. She told the story in lots of school assemblies in Knowsley so that as many children as possible would get to hear about the Summer Reading Challenge.
As I’m sure you know, it is Roald Dahl Day today. Are you doing anything special to celebrate? If you haven’t got anything planned yet, you can get lots of good ideas from the Roald Dahl website.

Hello

how do I receive my certificate for reading six books?

Thank you.

Delighted to help Captain Pug Menance, which book did you most enjoy reading for the Summer Reading Challenge?

Good morning Captain Pug Menance, the staff at your library will give you your certificate once you have read your six books. Well done for completing the Challenge. I hope you discovered some really hair-raising books!

Hello Corporal Catapult Bojangles, good to hear from you. We certainly had lots of fun on the special Dahl days. I think the most enjoyable activity was the Super-Easy Roald Dahl quiz.
