I liked the characters of the different horses but parts of it were sad about how horses were treated in those days.

Black beauty and Ginger were my favourite characters. I liked this book because its old fashioned, heart warming and an emotional rollercoaster. I felt like I was really there. It was sad at times but it had a happy ending and was really enjoyable. I would recommend it to my sister and any horse lovers.

This book is about a horse that went through a lot of homes and pain. The character I like best is Black Beauty because he had hard times but he kept going. I would recommend it to a good friend.

Black Beauty is an enthralling tale about a horse undergoing the hardships of work in the 18th century and the fear of being sold. I loved following his journey from a young colt to a proud majestic horse willin gto survive. My favourite character was Jerry as he was really kin dto black beauty/Jack and never overworked him as a cab horse. I think this should be a 11+ book as it has very sad parts in it and the language is very hard to understand.

This is a really good book. i really enjoyed reading it although i normally don't really like classics. Its a great book about a horse who struggles through moving from new places to more new places. He goes to lots of different stables with lots of different types of people; Jerry, john, little joe green and many more!

I loved the story of Black Beauty; it was a truly amazing book told by a horse that goes through many different experiences and adventures. I would recommend this to 11-12+ because it is an old book so it has quite a lot of words that would confuse younger children.

Really inspirational! It is an autobiography of a horse and this book explains the feelings of a horse throughout its changes with different owners - some taking really care of him and others neglecting him and using for their own benefit.
