Trash
Andy Mulligan
Raphael is a dumpsite boy. He spends his days wading through mountains of steaming trash, sifting it, sorting it, breathing it, sleeping next to it. Then one unlucky-lucky day, Raphael’s world turns upside down. A small leather bag falls into his hands. It’s a bag of clues. It’s a bag of hope. It’s a bag that will change everything.

This book consists three boys named Raphael, Rat and Gardo who work in Behala dumpsite. They find a black, leather bag with a wallet inside it containing money which is the reason why the police came to the dumpsite in the search of it as it was linked with a crime involving fraud and murder. I highly recommend this book to people who like mysteries and adventures!

This is different to other stories I have read. It is a shock as it has police corruption. My favourite character is Rat. He is so poor. I recommend it for Year 6 children.

This book is good because it tells a story about a trash boy acting kind of like a detective when he finds a clue about a murder while sorting through trash. He and his friends must go on an adventure around the area try and solve it and are rewarded at the end with lots of money.

This is a book about three boys, Raphael, Gardo and Rat who live on trash every day. But one day, they find something amazing among the trash, which leads them to a terrible disaster where they have to try and escape their trouble. It has a secret code they have to crack, as well.
