Battersea Dogs & Cats Home: Max's Story
Olivia is delighted when her parents take her to Battersea Dogs Home to choose a puppy – and when she is introduced to Max the golden labrador retriever she falls head over heels in love with him. Max is incredibly cute, with his big brown eyes and big paws – but when the family bring him home they soon realize that he is also incredibly clumsy.

Olivias parents have good news. Olivias dad has a job in Essex, but its too far away so they have to move. When they get Max will they feel better about moving? My favourite character is Olivia & I would recommend to a friend.

I think this book was brilliant, despite Max is a clumsy dog with feet too big for him! This story (about Max) is when a Mum's wedding ring goes missing. I think what interested me was how clumsy a puppy can be! I would recommend it to anyone.

This is the fourth battersea book I've read. I loved this one the most because it has a Labrador puppy and I really want a labrador. I can't wait to get more in the set.

I thought this book was amazing you could really relate to what the author was try to say it was a non fiction book.Max reminded me of my own puppy.i would recomend it to some one else

This was a book with lots of pictures and quite large writing and rather easy words to read. The book was fiction and one aimed at someone probably younger than myself however my favourite character in the book was probably Olivia because she was very friendly. Finally, I would recommend this book a a dog lover and a person younger than the age of 11!

Its a nice story with a happy ending. Good if you like animals as it has some recipes for dog treats in the back.

I think you should read this book because it was funny! It was interesting. It was about a giro called Olivia who had a dad who was a very important doctor. They were moving house so Olivia had to leave her best friends, Nahid and Lorna behind. The next day, the family took a trip to the Battersea Dogs & Cats Home and chose a lovely honey-coloured puppy named Max. However, Max was very clumsy! Read this book to find out what Olivia and her mum and dad have in store for them!
