I liked that the ending was a surprise and made my mind go upside down. The culprit was a huge shock. My favourite character is Luke because he is innocent and honest.

My favourite character in this book is Bets. She managed to find out the most helpful clue, where the smell of turpentite came from. My favourite bit was when they had put all the clues together and beaten Mr. Goon.

I love this book because I am a great fan of Enid Blyton. I also love this book because it is adventurous and it is an interesting book to read.
