Night of the Living Bread (Monster and Chips, Book 2)
David O’Connell
Do you dare to enter Fuzzby’s Monster Diner? Taste the foul food served up at Fuzzby’s and meet the amazing monster customers! The second book in this laugh-out-loud series from talented author and illustrator, David O’Connell.
Somewhere hidden in the city is a very special diner. What’s so special about it? Well it does the best chips anywhere and the customers are monsters! Joe the ‘hooman’ is getting the hang of flipping squashed-frog burgers at the monster diner. He’s even made some monster friends. But things heat up in Fuzzby’s kitchen when Joe and Fuzzby are asked to cater the Night Mayor’s feast at the mysterious Tower of Doom. Rumour is that if the Night Mayor doesn’t like the food, the monster chefs are thrown into the dungeon . . . forever! Joe and Fuzzby prepare slugs-on-sticks, dangerous pie (warning: do not turn your back on it) and twitching toad sausages to impress the Night Mayor. And if that doesn’t work there’s always the Ultimate Pizza of Darkness. . . Will the brave pair return to the monster diner? Or have they served their last bowl of bumbean stew? With cartoon strips, revolting recipes and a Special’s Board that’ll make your tummy churn, take a seat at Fuzzby’s and join the fun.Reviews
All the chefs are throw into the dungeon because the major doesn't like the food. Very funny and many disgusting dishes!

The book was okay. I didn’t think one of the characters was very funny but I liked Fuzzby. If you like chips then this is the book for you.

I borrowed this book from the library because I have the first one at home. This book is really funny and all of the gross food makes me laugh.

I liked it because they had a bread robot which did what Fuzzby said but last it got out of control. I liked Joe and Fuzzby the best because they are very nice.

Overall did not really like it because the jokes were not that funny, they were pretty funny. Ans the food that the book talks about are a bit disgusting. My favourite character is Fuzzby because he is a jelly

I thought this book was good. I liked the bit when Joe found out that the Night-Mayor didn’t really eat the food it was his pet dragon it was a little treat every year.

I like that it has monster- sized, greasy chips. It is fictional. My favourite character is Joe, the ‘Hooman’. I would recommend this book to kids who like funny monster stories with a plate of greasy, golden, steaming hot chips.
