Over Sea, Under Stone
Susan Cooper
You can search and search on a quest, and in the end you may never get there at all,’ Barney told Simon and Jane. The three children, on holiday in Cornwall, had found a map and embarked on a quest for a treasure which lay ‘over sea, under stone’ a treasure which was more precious than life itself, for, if found by the right people, it would help keep at bay the ancient forces of evil which were once again powerful in the world. Susan Cooper writes with an intense and powerful style cinjuring up stirring images of good and evil – locked in combat.
Reviews
I thought this book was really good because it had so much good integrity in it. My favourite character was Barny. I would definitely recommend this book.
