In this story, I love how the characters are so unlike each other, but uncover a great mystery. Here, Charmain is magical without even really knowing it, but Peter is magical, but probably only a beginner. Annoying Twinkle, a young child, drives most of the characters crazy, turning out to be Howl (from Howl's Moving Castle, Diana Wynne Jones) in disguise. Sophie actually appears to be rather trustworthy of Charmain, strangely enough. This has been a really enjoyable book to read over the summer. I would recommend this book for people aged 10-13+.

I loved this book! It was very interesting and i loved the amount of description. I really enjoyed the adventure and how it all worked out in the end, and how it all fitted together to make the perfect story! I liked the King but i didn't like the character Charmain, i found her really quite annoying!! I would DEFINITELY recommend this book, from people 10+.

This book is about a young girl thinking it was going to be easy looking after her great uncle's house. But was it?
