It was a fantastic book about the secret seven finding out who stole all the pedigree dogs and how he did it. Jack got mad and left the Secret Seven but came back when he found a big clue of where his friend’s dog, scamper was.

In all of the stories of the secret seven Scamper the dog of young Peter and Janet helps them to solve the exciting mysteries that they have tried to solve by protecting them from the club's enemies. In this book, Scamper gets stolen and the secret six which was formed when one of their beloved members Jack left the club because the chief member of the club ticked him off because his annoying sister Suzie often came interfering in their secret meetings. They are determined to find out who had stolen scamper. Oddly enough the secret seven found most peculiar clues and were not able to make head nor tail of it but by snooping around and puzzling his brains Jack The ex-member of the secret seven club was able to find out the thief who had stolen Scamper and the other dogs of the neighbourhood. I recommend this book to everyone because of the twisted excitement of it.

The most interesting character is shepherd because he is incredibly happy when Shadow comes back to him.

My favourite character is Janet because she's clever and kind. I felt sad when Scamper was kidnapped, but I was happy when he was found.

I thought this was a great children’s mystery. As much as I liked the book, I would of preferred it to be a bit more my age. If I was a bit younger maybe I would of rated this a bit higher. I found at the start i wasn’t as in to the book I wanted to be. As the story started to unfold a began to read a bit more to see what happened next. The ending was very cleverly done and now I can see why Enid blyton is so adored by many children. My favourite character had to be Scamper. He was a very joyful and funny old dog. He does remind me of my dog in way.
