It was scary because there was someone killing the dogs, but the child solved the crime. I liked Nubia

This book is a fun and exiting book but also a sad book. My favorite part was when Jonathan saved Flavia's life. my favorite person was Jonathon. I would recommend this book to 6+

It's not my favourite in the series because there isn't much adventure but it's still good to read

I thought this was very good. It was informative, while still fictional, so it was perfect for everyone. This had a really good plot, even though it had a lot of facts mixed in. I love this sort of book. I think this book is good for basically any age over 8.

I thought it was really great and can't wait to read more in the series. I don't have a favourite character, I like all of the main characters!

The thieves of Ostia is the first book in the Roman mysteries series. Throughout the series four children solve a range of mysteries. From kidnapping to attempted murder there is not a mystery this quartet hasn't solved. These books are set in Roman times and not only involve thrilling mysteries but also really educate about the past. I would recommend to anyone who likes A good mystery or history.

'The Thieves of Ostia' is the first of 'The Roman Mysteries' by Caroline Lawrence. The book is about a young Roman girl called Flavia. After the theft of her father's golden ring, she meets three extraordinary people who become her best friends - Johnathon the new boy next door, Nubia the African slave girl and Lupus the mute beggar boy. Their investigations take them all around the city, trying to solve their quest on who is beheading the dogs of Ostia, and why.
