Curse of the Demon Dog
Dan Hunter, Jerry Paris
Ancient Egypt is in trouble; the evil Pharaoh, Oba, has captured five of the most powerful gods and imprisoned them in secret and perilous places. Now deadly plagues are destroying the land and bloodthirsty monsters terrorize the people. Only one boy can stop them: Akori, an orphaned farm-boy with a huge destiny.
Reviews

I thought this book was slightly scary, but I still loved it. My favourite part was when Akori fought the god of the hunt and tricked him in a very clever way. I liked Manu’s affection towards his beloved scrolls, and how he couldn’t bear to leave them anywhere.

I rated this three because it was scary as there were zombies and mummies. I don't think I want to recommend this as my friends might get nightmares.
