Good story line, a little slow paced :)

It was very gripping and modern. I really enjoyed how there were almost two stories happening at the same time and that there was a twist at the end.

This is a book following Rose, a young girl, who has been burdened with the supposed death of her mother, Katherine, and her step-brother's father. She gets weird messages from a girl named Rachel Bliss, and soon finds out she is dead, drowned in the school lake. Joshua, her step-brother, finds a clue - a link - between a place and his father... He vaguely remembers the place, and decides to visit the areas marked on his father's map. Rose takes this as an opportunity to get to her old school, Mary Linton, and try to find out more about Rachel's death. She unravels more and more as the days go by, and soon she discovers why Rachel died and what is so important in the little cottage Joshua wanted to visit. The question is: is it all connected somehow?

This is really good and leaves you on a cliffhanger at the end.

You first have to read the first book ,which is dead time, to understand the plot of these murder notebooks. I highly reccommend these books as they are all about a family that have been split apart. I have only read the first two books, but am already looking to see what the one after this is called
