Ever since her mum died, Emily has been having an awful time. She hates her new school, and dad and step-mum are too busy with their new baby to have any energy for her. Now she's been referred to the harvest hope project at city farm, where kids facing difficulties are given space and support. but Emily doesn't want to spend her holiday with a buch of smelly animals! At city farm, Emily meets kind-hearted Jack, Ash the chatterbox, and a very special dog named Patch. Can Patch help Emily realize families come in all shapes and sizes?
