I have read this book

I liked this book because it started off with evil people, but as the story went on they became good. There was a tricky word, "ectoplasm", which I had to look up. Despite the title it's not a very scary book, and is great for reading at bedtime.

It was a very good story but I think it’s a 4 because it wasn’t very long. I liked the book because it’s all about ghosts, some nice and some not! Based in all different places which made it interesting! My favourite character was adopta because she’s very kind.

ive personally read this book so many times because WHY NOT!? this is an amazing book and the author (Eva Ibbotson) has excellent talent in storytelling. if you enjoy short reads and thrilling books this is the book for you.

I recommend this book to someone who likes ghosts and reading ghost stories. The book is about a family in the second world war. When an air sirens go off one of the characters, the mum, goes upstairs to find her sister, Trixi, before the bomb lands, but the bomb hits and everyone turns into a ghost, except for Trixi. They try to find Trixi, but can't. They call for her every night but no luck. One day a family moves into the house and they keep screaming when they see the ghosts. The family considers exorsizing the ghosts so the ghost family leaves, with another young ghost they have found, and moves to London to find a new house to 'live' in. They eventually find a knicker shop where the owner can't see ghosts.

I thought that this was a really good book with a great plot. My favourite character was Adopta the ghost. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

This book was very interesting as there were lots of different plot-twists. I liked all of the character's unique personalities and overall enjoyed reading this book. I would definitely recommend this book if you like fantasy stories.

I really enjoyed this book. The story was so gripping I could not put it away. The main character, Oliver I liked the most. Descriptions of spooky Shriekers were truly sickening. I highly recommend this book.
