Fly by night by Frances Hardinge Fly by night is a gripping story of heroic highwaymen and crazy circuses. Of rampaging religions and escaped equivocates. It is about a girl called Mosca Mye who runs away with her goose from her uncle and aunt. However, after freeing Eponymous Clent, a professional lie teller who isn’t all he says he is, she finds herself in greater danger than she ever thought. Mixed up with smugglers and spies, birdcatchers and the beloved means Mosca Mye cannot trust anyone. And she soon finds out that the people closest to you often hide the biggest secrets... I would give this book 4 / 5 because some parts of it were a little confusing but on a whole it was an excellently written book which I could not put down - well done Frances Hardinge, you have done it again! I would recommend this book to Year 7 and above because there is frequent / strong murder themes throughout the book. All in all, this is an excellent book written by an excellent author which I would definitely read again.
