This is an illustrated children’s book based on an Irish story, about a pig who jumps into a pond on a hot summer day. The book was shortlisted for the Kate Greenaway Medal in 1993. Martin Waddell’s other books include ""Farmer Duck"", ""Rosie’s Babies"" and ""Can’t You Sleep, Little Bear"".

I loved this story. The best bit was when they all jumped into the pond and it went 'sploosh'. I loved all of the characters. I would recommend it to others.
