Hannah is delighted to receive a Dalmation puppy, Oscar, just before Christmas. She wishes she could spend all her time with her gorgeous puppy, but she has her school Christmas play to rehearse. Meanwhile, Oscar feels lonely and neglected. Why doesn’t Hannah want to be with him any more?

I liked this book a lot. Hannah chose the special puppy with the black tail which is very rare. Oscar is my favourite character as I have a cat called Oscar in real life.

It was really good. Some parts were sad but mostly crazy, energetic, exciting and wonderful. There was a really really exciting and sad part. I recommend it to people who love animals and who would secretly, and not so secretly, like a dog!

I liked this book because it is a good read and fun and you realise a bit more about how it is having a pet. My favourite character is Oscar the dog because he is cute and friendly. I recommend this to people who like books about animals and are age 6-9.

Hannah and Oscar were my best characters. Oscar the Dalmatian puppy was tiny he was no bigger than a shoe. They got him from a dog shelter called Mill Green.

I really loved this book. It showed the importance of being able to have enough time with your dog. I have to admit, I was a little annoyed at Zak when he upset Oscar! I understood how excited Hannah was to get a dog, it is a very amazing moment! Overall this book was brill, and I would recommend it to any animal lover. Holly web, you have really won me over with your books!

Hannah wanted a dog. She asks her parents and they get a Dalmatian puppy. Hannah has rehearsals for a Christmas play and Oscar, the Dalmatian puppy, gets lonely. Hannah's brother, Zak, scares Oscar on purpose by squealing and trying to sit on him. Their mum says it was an accident. Hannah and her dad take Oscar out for walks. Hannah finds Zak holding Oscar on the stairs and their mum shout at Hannah for letting Oscar in the stairs. Zak falls off a climbing frame and goes to hospital. When he comes home Hannah stays with him and Oscar.
