Prometheus is on the run from an avenging eagle and finds himself escaping to Eden City in 1858. His friend Jim is a young orphan and petty criminal who ‘relieves’ the wealthy of their worldly possessions. But two fugitives together means double trouble as the frenetic action jumps from Mount Olympus to the seedy taverns of Dickensian Eden City.

I really really enjoyed this book. The storyline made me want to read on and never stop. I liked how intriguing the plot was and how in the end everything changed for the better. My favourite character was Prometheus as he would stop at nothing to complete his quest and find a hero and also almost sacrificed his life for another character. I think I would recommend to someone who really enjoys cliffhangers and twists and turns. This has got to be the best book yet!

I liked the intersection between an Ancient Greek legend, a Dickensian City and a pair of ‘Wild West’ fraudsters. The humorous chapter introductions, footnotes and asides make this book witty and a bit out of the ordinary. Although it is a bit of a romp, there is enough intelligence in the telling to engage a bright child.

This book is funny, witty and leaves you wanting more. It also, almost without you knowing it, tells you more about greek gods and their myths.
