My favourite character was buttons. My favourite part was when buttons went to join the Martins family for them to keep forever. Then when Mr Jenkins said he'd join them for walks when he got a new dog.

It was really interesting, lots of parts where he was happy and sad, lots of different emotions. I scored 3 because I didn't like the style of the illustrations. I would recommend the book to my school friends though!

Once more Holly Webb has reached my heart with her book. I felt so sorry for Buttons when she couldn't go out for a walk, I also felt bad for Sofey when she had to give Buttons back to Mr. Jencons.

A little girls families neighbour has a dog but the dog is just too energetic for him. Will they be able to find the little energetic dog a home. My favourite character is Buttons because he is brave. I would recommend this book to people who like stories about dogs.

I gave this book a 3 because it was very happy and sad at some points but I wanted it to have more mysterious in it.

I loved this book. Buttons was an adorable, curious puppy, who liked to explore everything. She’s very lively, but her owner is an old man and he can’t keep up with her. She’s always running away from him. One day, Mr Jenkins falls down the stairs and clever Buttons runs off to find Sophie to get her to come and help him. Mr Jenkins has to go to hospital so Sophie gets to look after Buttons. She loves her and wants to keep her. Her parents take her to a shelter to look for a dog of her own, but none are as prefect as Buttons. When they return Buttons to Mr Jenkins, he sees how much Sophie loves Buttons and how much Buttons loves Sophie. Mr Jenkins decides to let Sophie keep Buttons and tells her family he will get an older, calmer dog from the shelter. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves animal stories.

Mr Jenkins sounds mean at the beggining, but he's notl. The old man falls over, and needs to go to hospital so Buttons, the chocolate labrador fetches help from Sphie. Sophie trained him to be amazing for one month, and Mr Jenkins is very happy. He gives Buttons away to Sophie as Buttons is just to energetic. In return, Sophie buys Mr Jenkin a very slow dog (forgot its name) and now, they're all happy. Even Tom and Michael.

I like this book because it is about a dog that keeps escaping and he needs to let a girl know that his owner is in trouble and then the girl keeps him for a while and then she has to give it back and then the old man gives the dog to her because he can't look after it properly because of exersize but the girl suggests going to the shelter because they went and saw an old great dane that didn't need too much exersize and the man said that he never thought of going to the shelter and asked if they wouldn't mind an old man and an old dog tagging along behind on their walks.

My favourite character is buttons because he is such a sweet little puppy and got help when his owner was hurt. I also liked zoey because she was caring and ran to help buttons when he nearly fell in the water. I would recommend this book to any animal lover.
