The narrator was Moominpappa, so most of the book was written in first person. He told of part of his childhood. He met Hodgekins, the Joxter, the Muddler, a fuzzy and Moominmamma. We found out how he met Moominmamma and who Sniff, Little My and Snufkin's parents were. My favourite character was Hodgekins because he was an amazing inventor. I recommend this book to my friends.

In this book you meet the Muddler, Joxter, Hodgkins, Moominmama and the Fuzzy. They travel in the Oschun Oxter ship and have adventures. My favourite part is when Moominpappa saves Moominmama.
