I loved this book as Jessie kept trying to climb the big hill until eventually she did it. She had determination not only for that but also to protect the big hill when the diggers came. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes exciting, intriguing books. My favourite character is Jessie because she keeps trying, no matter what.

This book is part fiction and part non fiction because Graina O’Malley is real, the Big Hill is real, Clew Bay is real and Clare Island is real but all the rest is made up.My favourite character is Jessie because of her great personality. Finally, I would recommend this book to people who like ghosts and twist endings.
