Library Lion
Michelle Knudsen, Kevin Hawkes
A wonderful addition to any child’s library, this is the multiple award-winning and bestselling picture book about what happens when a lion visits a library.
In this international and award-winning bestseller about the joys of discovering the library and making new friends, a lion visits the library for the very first time. The head librarian, Miss Merriweather, is very particular about rules in the library. But when the lion visits, she isn’t sure what to do – there aren’t any rules about lions in the library! As it turns out, this lion seems very well suited to library visiting. His big feet are quiet on the floor and he makes a comfy backrest for the children at story hour, too. When an emergency happens, however, the lion has a dilemma. Should he come to the rescue in the only way he knows how, even if it means breaking Miss Merriweather’s strict rules?
Reviews

This book is brilliant, I wish there was a lion in my library. We learn all about the rules of the library with mummy when I read this book.

This story is so lovely and the moral of the story teaches us not to “judge a book by its cover” in life. Everyone would be scared of a lion usually but he was gentle and lonely so showed us to listen to each other!

This is a lovely story about a lion who comes to the library and two librarians.

I loved the library lion because I love reading. Miss Merriweather was my favourite character because she let the lion break the rules when he was trying to help.

Really enjoyed this. What a lovely book- teaching you not to run, shout and to care. Great read- our little reader waited with anticipation to see if the lion returned at the end

I enjoy reading this book because the lion madeI some friends like the reading teacher and some other small kids. I thought the lion was never gonna come back to the library but actually he did. The head teacher of the library was so happy to see the lion again.

I like the lion. When it was sad it didn't come back.

She enjoyed reading the library lion and was sad when the lion left. She was very happy when he was allowed back in the library and said that the children and miss meriwether would be happy again now. We would reccomend it but not to children too young as it is a long story to keep the attention of the child
