Reviews

The story is based off real events that have happened. I really enjoyed it apart from when some of the animals died from saving their puppies. I would recommend it to all ages that have interest in animals.

I think that it was a very touching and emotional story. It was about two puppies who were born into ww2 , That had to survive and they eventually get awarded for saving 9 people .My favourite character was Ellie’s dog who was amazing at being obedient and always won first place on dog obedience training competitions. I enjoyed this book because I like war stories and animals. The victory dogs is a great story for all ages from 6-12. Meagan Rix is a great story writer and her books are always very interesting and passionate. I would recommend this book to my friends and to all other readers who like animals, adventure and exiting stories but don't let the fact that it is set in the war time put you off, it is still an awesome story.

My favourite part is when Misty meets a feral, one-eared cat called Sheba who becomes a good friend and a caretaker to Misty’s puppies because she has a bad infection on her leg from when she got hit by a car but her puppies are healthy and happy living in the Underground. My least favourite part is when a feral dog attacks the puppy, Howl so Sheba, the one-eared cat tries to protect him by attacking the dog herself and making her the target but she gets badly injured after the attack after the dog was ran over by a train, so she died. Misty becomes lost in the first bombing attack by the Germans and she finds herself in the Underground but she had been hit by a car, which injured her leg and she was pregnant. She meets a one-eared cat called Sheba who helps her to take care of the puppies. Eventually, the wound on Misty’s leg was becoming infected and she died of it. One of the puppies is taken away and the other puppy is attacked by a feral dog. Sheba protects it, but she dies from her injuries so a person who lived in the Underground called David, takes care of the puppy. Finally, the puppies are reunited after saving many lives.

I like it because it was about WW2 blitz which I'm really interested in. I also like dogs. I learned what the NARPAC is and that animals can be trained to help humans in times of crisis.
